A RESPONSIVE RESOURCE
The Learning Institute meets the needs of individuals and organizations
through opportunities that:
- meet the NCLB requirements;
- solicit participant input into planning and implementations;
- promote the development of a learning community with follow-up support;
- exemplify research-based practices.
QUALITY PROFESSONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Learning Institute offers graduate level coursework and customized
inservice training which are aligned to mandated standards and address current
educational issues such as:
- strategies to achieve AYP;
- data-driven instructional planning;
- using classroom data to drive change;
- content knowledge in academic subject areas;
- technology integration across the curriculum;
- multi media instruction;
- accommodation and adaptation of curriculum materials;
- differentiated instruction;
- English Language Learners.
COLLABORATIVE CONSULTATION
Learning Institute faculty are available to consult with and provide resources
to schools and districts on topics such as:
- program evaluation;
- accessing and applying scientifically-based research;
- grant proposal development;
- curriculum mapping.
